Appreciate the support

Thanks for a great start … from Old Broad & New Trix

I want to thank you for making the first year of Old Broad & New Trix so much fun. It’s been 7 months since I launched this blog site, and thanks to folks like you, we’ve had more than 3,300 views and nearly 85 followers in both the United States and beyond.

The most read post this year was An Act of Humanity. Stay tuned in early 2015 for an update on the two amazing women featured in that piece. (Hint: The surgery was a huge success!) Other pieces that were big hits included What’s Wrong with SC’s Legislators?, Motherhood …. It’s not for Sissies, and God, Gays & Notre Dame.

I’m proud to say An Act of Humanity and God, Gays & Notre Dame were both picked up by What Jasper Said, the blogging arm of Jasper Magazine. Thanks to Jasper editor Cindi Boiter for recognizing those pieces that focused on the Arts.

To those of you who forwarded Old Broad & New Trix via Facebook, thanks! It looks like I might finally have to create a Facebook page. To those of you who took the time to weigh in with comments, I appreciate all of them. Some of the comments were too long to post, but I appreciate them just the same.

In case you missed a post, check out the Archives. Pieces titled Grandmama, Alfie & the Promise of Spring and Overheard … and LMAO were popular as well as pieces about Triple Crown hopefuls, swimming sensation Diana Nyad and former Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis.

Thank you again for reading this year. Meet you back here in 2015.
